Continuing Medical Education

At the invitation of its partners, CISEPO provides a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program. One day to one week education and skills development workshops, seminars and lectures are given at international locations and in Canada for medical, health care and other specialists. The primary objective of the CME program is to build capacity through knowledge transfer and exchange, thus building bridges of cooperation in the health sector between Arabs and Israelis, under a Canadian umbrella.

Electronic distance education programming between Mount Sinai Hospital/Peter A. Silverman Centre for International Health, the University of Toronto/Bell University Lab, Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care and the Middle East was initiated in 2002 and is ongoing.
A joint Arab-Israeli capacity-building training conference in audiology began at the Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel in April 2002 and continued at Haifa University in February, 2003.
The first electronic distance education Telemedicine/ TeleHealth joint conference between Canada and Israel took place in November, 2001. Ongoing distance learning programming continues to date in the region.
